Quickie

Been busy lately but have to share an anecdote about Benjamin... he loves to drink out of our glasses of ice water, and now he thinks anything in a cup shape has something in it he can drink! He "slurps" his toy cups, empty containers we give him to play with, and this morning the empty oatmeal cannister. :D

He is crawling, cruising and standing for a few seconds by himself. He loves being mobile and playing with his basket of toys and cruising on furniture in the bedroom.

He was nine months old the 23rd. Now has 6 teeth, weighs 20 lbs, and 28 inches long.

Wow! That's really great. He's better than Brady at standing. Brady gets too eager and falls over forward.

Benjamin will be walking before you know it.

Everyone seems to warn us first time moms that as mobility increases so does the trouble.

How are you finding it?

I actually find it easier than carrying him around everywhere and having to amuse him myself now that he can crawl and plays with his own toys.

I think it's easier...now that he can get to the toy he wants he's less frustrated. He actually plays for long stretches of time by himself with his toys. I love it! :)

Benjamin's starting to take risks too esp. when he's tired. He'll just propel himself forward and whack his head. I guess that's how they learn!

just thought of this when I reread this post. You know babies stay rear facing in carseats up to 1 yr and such. It is actually safer to keep them that way until longer. Mine usually are up to 18 months. I go by the weight for that seat for rear facing. Not many people realize they can and it is proven safer. maybe you know this already just wanted to let you know.
