Weeping Cherry

Last Wednesday, Jeff surprised me with a weeping cherry. I've had a terrible yen for one for the last, oh five years or so. I love weeping willows, and a tree that flowers as well...well, that's just about perfect.
We tried ordering one a couple years back from a catalog, but it turned out to be just a dead stick. Of course, I suppose it's possible we killed it. After that I resigned myself to not having one since they're pretty pricey if you buy them live and thriving and a decent teenager-tree size.
Jeff went by Lowe's for another gardening supply trip and saw one in bloom. He felt overcome with the idea that he should get it for me. He somehow fit it in the Bug (!) and got it in the ground and everything while I was at work. The next morning, I saw it outside the window, but thought it was in the neighbor's yard...and figured, oh well, at least I get to look at it. Then I realized it was in our yard and it was Jeffrey's doing.
I love my weeping cherry. Makes me happy every time I see it! And I like the idea that it will be a "remembrance tree" of my pregnancy with our little girl. :D
Thanks sweetie.

Oh, Em. You sound so happy--it just makes me happy along with you! It sounds like God has really blessed your marriage. I, too, feel so rich now that I have Bryant . . . what a blessing he is.
