On his birthday Tuesday, Benjamin said his first word. I think. Was it mommy, or daddy? Nope, it was "truck." Or at least his version of it: "cuck." He has been saying "cup" a lot lately, and especially while pointing to cars. Yesterday he was pointing out the window at the car across the street saying "cup." I corrected him: "truck." He stared at me, processing. Then said "uk." Then "cuck" and waved his hand bye-bye, just like he does to Daddy in the morning. It was a partly scary, partly elating feeling. What else does this child understand?! Made me suddenly shy wondering what he's picking up on.
Funny thing is, Jeff has been looking forward to the time when he can talk to and reason with Benjamin. I on the other hand don't feel quite ready!

Really with your creative hand and mind you could make beautiful cakes! :) It is one of those things, if I can do, then you definately can do it too! :) One of the areas I have always enjoyed. Did you make Benjamin's first cake?
Love his pajama picture and the new pjs you made him. Jeff's hat is awesome too. Ella LOVES wearing hers and looks so girly in it-and definitely like she could have fit right in in the 1920's. :-) Thanks again!
